Gallery | Showhome Mod Pod

Clad in James Hardie Linea, the ‘modpod’ exterior is characterised by the linear detail and weather-resistance of the traditional Kiwi weatherboard. The crisp linear aspect is also an interior aesthetic feature with both weatherboard and timber decking wrapping inside the house through an enclosed deck.

Despite its compact size, a feeling of spaciousness is exaggerated with the 3.1m raked ceilings and light-filled interior. At one end of the main living area, a wall of full-height timber doors hides a sleek family-sized kitchen. Extra fold-out bench space is contained in a multi-purpose mobile ‘grill’, which doubles as an outdoor BBQ complete with gas cook top.

Both the main bathroom and separate toilet are readily accessible in the centre of the house. A feature of the main bathroom is the private bath – accessed via the tiled open shower and lit by a natural light-well, it sits below a wall of red mosaic tiles.
